Productores ornamentales del estado de Morelos consiguieron un nuevo récord Guinness por conformar el “Tapete Floral más grande del mundo”, al agrupar 127 mil plantas de Nochebuena en 14 mil 200 metros cuadrados diseñando la imagen gigante de la referida flor de origen mexicano.
Con la representación del titular de la Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación (SAGARPA), José Calzada Rovirosa, el coordinador general de Delegaciones, Víctor Hugo Celaya Celaya y acompañado por el presidente del Consejo Estatal de Productores de Ornamentales de Morelos, Mariano Oropeza, fueron testigos de honor durante la entrega del documento que avala el récord mundial conseguido por los productores mexicanos.
El tapete floral fue elaborado por 600 personas y 120 colaboradores en las áreas de paisajismo y producción vegetal y está conformado con 13 variedades de Nochebuena, entre ellas “hot pink”, “prestige red”, “Orange spice”, “polar bear”, entre otras, las cuales fueron cultivadas en el estado de Morelos y colocadas para formar el tapete que presentó un diseño de la misma flor, realizado por el arquitecto Óscar Jiménez De Leon, director de paisajismo del parque Jardines de México.
Cabe destacar que los productores morelenses lograron superar el anterior récord Guinness para un tapete floral, reconocimiento que estaba en posesión de los productores de Kiev, Ukrania, desde el 26 de agosto de este año, con un ornamento de 13 mil metros cuadrados.
Asimismo, con el apoyo de institutos de investigación los productores de ornamentales tienen las primeras variedades mexicanas de Nochebuena con potencial comercial en trámite de registro.
Por su parte, el delegado de la SAGARPA en Morelos, Rafael Ambriz Cervantes, dio a conocer que esta temporada decembrina “las nochebuenas morelenses pintan de color los hogares en México y el extranjero”.
Asimismo, manifestó que se han comercializado 32 millones de plántulas a Estados Unidos, España, Japón, Holanda, Alemania, Canadá, China, Francia, Kenia, Suecia y Vietnam; y son 8.5 millones de plantas en maceta que también se comercializan.
Además, la SAGARPA entregó en los últimos cuatro años, nueve mil 975 certificados fitosanitarios internacionales, documentos necesarios para que los productores puedan realizar exportaciones a los diferentes destinos internacionales.
Agregó que del total de las siete principales entidades productoras de ornamentales del país, Morelos se mantiene como el principal productor, con una aportación del 34.5 por ciento, seguido por Michoacán, 21.5 por ciento; Ciudad de México, 16.9 por ciento; Puebla, 11.3 por ciento, entre otros, donde la Nochebuena representa el 30 por ciento de la producción anual.
Está creación está ubicada en Jardines de México, parque floral más grande del mundo donde la esencia se concentra en la contemplación de la belleza de cada uno sus siete jardines temáticos: Abanico de Flores, Cuatro Primaveras, Estilo Italiano, Estilo Japonés, Cactáceas, Tropical y Laberinto de los Sentidos.
