La Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación (SAGARPA) publicó en el Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF), el Acuerdo por el que se adscriben al Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (SENASICA) como parte de su estructura orgánica las Jefaturas de los Programas de Sanidad Vegetal y Salud Animal.
El Acuerdo tiene por objeto asignar las Unidades Administrativas denominadas Jefaturas de los Programas de Sanidad Vegetal y Jefaturas de Programas de Salud Animal y sus equivalentes integradas a las diversas Delegaciones Estatales de la SAGARPA, como parte de la estructura orgánica del SENASICA.
A partir de la entrada en vigor del Acuerdo, las Jefaturas de los Programas de Sanidad Vegetal y Salud Animal y sus equivalentes, cambiarán su denominación por la de Representación Estatal Fitozoosanitaria y de Inocuidad Agropecuaria y Acuícola.
La dirección, coordinación, supervisión, vigilancia y evaluación de las mencionadas representaciones, estará a cargo de la Unidad de Coordinación y Enlace del SENASICA, por conducto de sus Representaciones Regionales de conformidad con la circunscripción territorial siguiente:
1. Representante regional Noroeste: Sede Sinaloa; Circunscripción Baja California, Baja California Sur, Nayarit, Sinaloa y Sonora.
2. Representante regional Noreste: Sede Zacatecas; Circunscripción Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León y Zacatecas.
3. Representante regional Centro Occidente: Sede Aguascalientes; Circunscripción Colima, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí y Aguascalientes.
4. Representante regional Centro: Sede Hidalgo; Circunscripción Ciudad de México, Estado de México, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Morelos y Querétaro.
5. Representante regional Sur: Sede Veracruz; Circunscripción Oaxaca, Puebla, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, y Veracruz
6. Representante regional Sureste: Sede Campeche; Circunscripción Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Tabasco y Yucatán
Los Representantes Estatales de Sanidad Fitozoosanitaria e Inocuidad, tendrán, entre otras, la función de supervisar la aplicación y difundir los ordenamientos legales relativos a la sanidad e inocuidad agroalimentaria, para prevenir, controlar y erradicar las plagas y enfermedades, de acuerdo con las acciones que deriven de los programas y campañas de sanidad vegetal, salud animal e inocuidad, que establezcan las Direcciones Generales del SENASICA.
Las Delegaciones Estatales harán lo conducente para que las Representaciones dispongan de las oficinas, el equipo y las instalaciones que actualmente ocupan como Jefaturas de los Programas, para el buen despacho de los asuntos de su competencia.
El Acuerdo entrará en vigor a los treinta días siguientes al de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Federación.
